WHAT WE EXPECT OF A POTENTIAL BUYER
First, we expect that you are looking for a family companion that will be loved and cherished. Your dog should live inside the house as a canine family member, not be banished to the backyard or locked in a garage and given attention only when you happen to be passing by.
You've done research into different dog breeds to see which ones fit your activity level, lifestyle, temperament, grooming requirements and to ensure that the Boxer is a good fit for your family.
You have the time and energy to devote to daily training and exercise and are committed to raising your new puppy properly. Raising a working breed dog correctly involves time consuming intense socialisation and training. You have a well thought out plan for socialising your puppy, including puppy classes and basic obedience classes as the puppy grows older.
As your dog matures, you offer him/her increasing physical and mental exercise keeping him/her fit, happy and healthy.
You are also your dog's advocate. It is expected you will do your own research to ensure you make choices that are the best for you and your dog. For instance, yearly vaccines are no longer recommended for pets, the risks and side effects far outweigh any benefit. (Booster shots are a myth- you either are immune or not, and once you are immune to something, you can't get any more immune).
Often, traditional obedience training classes are the only option some people have available. Boxers are easily trained with positive methods i.e.: clicker training and reward-based training methods. It is far easier to reward good behaviour rather than fix bad habits after they have developed. Being an advocate for your dog means you would seek out trainers that use positive methods or if entered in a traditional obedience class, train your dog with positive methods whilst using the class for socialisation purposes.
It is also expected of prospective owners to keep in touch with us on a regular basis throughout the dogs' lifetime. We want to know how you and your new family companion getting on in life.
We want to make one thing very clear; We do not sell puppies to malls, pet stores, or anyone we deem not a good fit for a Boxer puppy. We do not, under any circumstance, let our puppies leave for their new homes until they have reached eight (8) weeks of age. No exceptions!
WHAT YOU WILL EXPECT FROM US
When you come to visit us, you will get to see our dogs' personalities, how well they are kept, where they play, eat, and sleep.
We will ask you questions about your lifestyle, work commitments, experience with the breed etc. Remember, our concern is that our puppies go to a loving forever home.
We will go over our guarantees and our lifelong availability to you as one of our future puppy owners. Together we will go over all paperwork so if you have any questions we can answer them for you.
We will also go over the health of the Breed in general, to ensure that you have a clear understanding of their pros and cons. We will supply you with pedigrees and references from other individuals that have bought puppies from us over the years.
At the time of your visit, we will reassure you that you can contact us at any time day or night with any questions or concerns. Our house has an open door for all of our extended Boxer families.
If after reading through the information above and you are interested in a Hudsonbox puppy, do not hesitate to contact us.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
If you send an e-mail simply asking the price your e-mail is very likely to be ignored!
Please take a little time to let us know as much information about yourselves as possible such as;
history with Boxers/other breeds, location, home and working environment etc.
Your email/Facebook message will be answered (provided the above information is included)
however PATIENCE is a virtue both in awaiting the initial reply and the right puppy being available!
If you are successfully placed on our waiting list it is only POLITE to let us know if you find your new family member elsewhere.
Our puppies are not on a conveyor belt, they are not made to order and is very frustrating when we do have a potential puppy for you to learn that you have found one elsewhere (that in itself is no problem - not letting us know is - it only takes a minute to send an email!)
Do NOT add to your email that you would like a 'bobtail'.
To achieve the 'bobtail' which can be anything from a stump to almost full length the genes of a Corgi have been crossed with the Boxer gene.
We do NOT have any mixed genes in our puppies.
It is of the utmost importance to us that any Hudsonbox Boxer is homed for life.
Your new family member is NOT just for Christmas!

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN BREEDING DOESN’T GO AS PLANNED
On rare occasion we may have to use a different male than originally planned due to unforeseen circumstances using a particular stud. We may decide to go with another male simply to improve a litter. Mother Nature participates in all breeding, thus the unforeseen can and does occur: small litters, non-conception, reabsorbed puppies and/or miscarriages, still born puppies, etc.
Upcoming litter arrival dates are estimations based on prior heat cycles. Actual due dates cannot be determined until the dogs have been bred.
Sometimes a breeding dog becomes ill or fails to perform. We will work with you to make satisfactory arrangements if these circumstances occur.
